INTRODUCTION:
My name is Adzhar Kamaludin, Senior Lecturer from Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Currently, I am the Chairman for Council of e-Learning Head for Public Universities (MEIPTA) of Malaysia. MEIPTA is given a responsible to conduct a study on Blended Learning Implementation at Malaysia from the perspective of impact and direction.
You are being invited to take part in a research. Before you decide to participate, it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. SURVEY AIM
The aim of this survey is to measure the effectiveness of blended learning in institutions of higher learning in Malaysia.
SURVEY DIRECTIONS
This questionnaire is divided into four sections:
Section A: Respondents and university information.
Section B: Measures factors that influence student's readiness towards implementing blended learning in your university.
Section C: Measures the intensity of blended learning pedagogy in universities.
Section D: Measures the impact of blended learning on student's learning effectiveness.
SURVEY CLARIFICATION
This survey is for academic purpose only, thus the information of the respondents will not be published or displayed to the public.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
- IT- Information Technology (IT) refers to computer software, hardware and peripheral infrastructures.
- Learning- Learning is the acquisition of knowledge or skills through study, experience, or being taught.
- Blended Learning - Blended learning (BL) is defined as the combination of face-to-face and online instruction where 30% - 80% of the course content is delivered online (Sloan Consortium, 2010).
- E-learning/Online Learning- The acquisition and use of knowledge distributed and facilitated primarily by electronic means.
- Face-to-Face Learning- Involves the conventional teaching methods of using “chalk and talk”.
